Consumer Reports did a quick drive review of the Cascada recently. Among the comments made in the review were criticisms of the Cascada's outdated" interior. Other aspects of the vehicle got similarly archaic characterizations, like the ride quality and the key-turn ignition. Especially at the price of $37,000, Consumer Reports just doesn't think that it is worth it.

The Cascada isn't bad if you just want something to cruise around a Miami retirement center. However, the one tested here is $37,000 and features a 1.6-liter engine matched to a 6-speed gearbox. We're sorry, but that's too much money.
Pretty snarky comments from Consumer Reports------Buick and/or General Motors must not be giving them big enough donations. My experience has been that they only make favorable comments about Japanese imports.
HI mesaguy, good comments. If I wanted a video game I would buy an x box. I like gauges. I also own an equinox with a similiar control layout and navigation system. It will be familiar and not foreign to my wife.
Our cascada is out east waiting for a rail hauler to bring to Cincinnati. It will come in after we leave for Florida. Dealer will be putting it on his showroom floor which we are not excited about. The sales manager is pretty much copping an attitude if we want out he can make more money selling it to someone else.
You guys enjoying yours as much as ever ? Getting a lot of attention? Going as expected? Are they going for book or more out your way ? My dealer wants the protection package bought as well. Did you try your key fob top control yet ? I just see the cars in the paper once and awhile, no big sales push, I'm sure just because you can't get them. Have fun !
Gene2016----I did try the keyfob thing with the convertible top one time and it didn't work. It might be due to not trying the remote start feature first. I thought perhaps it would only require car battery power but I'll keep exploring. I drove it for the first time yesterday morning with the top up and, as I mentioned before, visibility isn't great in this mode. As a matter of fact I would recommend if you don't have anyone in the back seat and are driving with the top up to remove the rear head rests as they interfere somewhat with rear view mirror visibility out the rear glass. It sucks that you're going to Florida and your dealer will apparently use your new car for his own purposes. He should pay you for the privilege!
It's one of the reasons why I always saw this as a tester for the market before they bring to market a production version of the coupe concept shown off earlier this year/late last year.
