Default Opel Monza Concept shows the Future of Opel Vehicles (video)

The Opel Monza Concept seemed to have been overlooked at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Maybe that is because GM would never give Opel the money to produce a sportscar like this. The concept is important though.

The Opel Monza Concept should be a indication of what to expect from the next Astra specifically. LED headlights and a digital instrument cluster are two features that will likely make it out of the concept and into production vehicles.

Anyways, take a look at the Monza Conept in these videos.

Just because the SLS has gull wings and so does the Monza concept is copying it. If you look at the shape of the gull wing doors, the Monza concept has much longer gull wing doors than the SLS does. I do agree more with the front end looking like the SLS though.

Its a great looking car. Too bad that Opel will never actually build it.

I agree. Mercedes might have been one of the first brands to use gull wing doors on a production car but i don't see a problem with other brands using that same idea for their cars. Plus this is just a concept, i highly doubt the production model will come with it.

I don't really think that this concept is going to come any where close to production. I'm pretty sure that this is going to remain a concept. Like @vauxy said, its a design exercise. I'll be curious to see what design elements get carried over to production vehicles though.

Sounds like they're turning into Hyundai/Kia with the way you put it LOL.
I guess it's hard to be any different as a lot of vehicles in the same segment share a lot of similar things, like proportions.

I think that this concept might turn into a flagship Buick. It is a nice looking car so why not put it to production. it would be sad to leave it as a concept. I at least want to see something that is clearly influenced by the Monza.

It could be used for a flagship Buick

but we'll see the Opel version first no doubt.
